Hello, Setk6 may not work on win2K. Setk6 needs to be unzipped then you must run sysedit and put C:/setK6 xxm in autobat.exe with xx as the amount of memory on your system. There are other options though. Please see the post enable all + functions any OS in this forum. There are a good variety of ot...

300 FSB
Hello,
I don't know exactly what I did, yet after installing the latest VIA 4in1 and ATI VESA mach64 plus some settings with winhacker I've been registering a 300mhz FSB on all CUPIDs. Strange. It's not crashing and is actually benchmarking extremely high this way. Any thoughts? Regards,

Enable All + Functions Any Win OS
Hello, It's great to find this site. I really have been at it alone, I thought, since ss7 and K6 + ,while still very usable CPUs, are mostly considered "old tech" Here are some links to programs I've found most useful for II+/III+ models. Regards, http://www.aceshardware.com/Spades/read.ph...

Hello,
Here is a link that provides programs to enable the + functions at startup. The second link is for a small program that does the same from your desktop. Regards,

Re: "+" model not recognized in BIOS at startup
Hello, The non + lacks the on die L256 cache as well which is a huge difference in preformance. What the bios reads doesn't necassarily mean anything. Check it with any cupid and you'll know if your getting all the functions, caches and clock speed. Here is a good one specially for II+/III+ that has...

Hello,
Powertweak will enable all functions as well. It made my CPU at 100% all the time, though. Here are some great files to enable the functions at start up. Regards,

k6 II+ at 601mhz
Hello all, This was my first overclock and fortunatly with an amd k6 II+ 550 because they run notoriously cool and stable at overclock. I've heard this is due too amd k6 +'s are all the same, just labeled differently. I don't know if it's true, that's what I've heard. I run mine at 2.1v 100.2 fsb wi...
