I can testify that the P5AB REV 1.05 wil not work, I didn't know that there was such a thing as REV 1.06 of the AB although there is one of the P5A(whish will also not work with + series chips). The thing to watch out for are abysmal memory bus performance, otherwise the chips appear to work correct...

...are you using the board in an AT case with ACPI enabled? I remember that this can be troublesome resulting in the exact symptoms that you describe.

I have 2 NICs installed, one hooked up to cable and the other hooked up to a switch (and to the home network). I have ICS enabled on this thing and it p...

I've been going through hell trying to get win2k installed on a 503+ with a 40GB western digital hard drive. The win2K installer seems unable to write a partition and even when using the WD drive copy and partition utility on a different mother board once I transplant the new hd to the 503+ I get ei...

It's not the dreaded ASUS chipset incompatibility is it?
If you have a REV. 1.05 P5AB and a K6 manufactured after 3/00 it'll perform like a 486 no matter what you do. <br>You'll have to look at the board to figure out the revision and the chip manufactur date is on the CPU, it goes something like 200012 where the 12 is the manufacture week. Might want to ...
