Yah... but Tnt2 was almost equivalent to the Voodoo2 in 3D anyway.

I never saw a 12mb Voodoo. Most were 8mb i think. I still have mine, and it works(worked) in Linux, but begeezus it's a lot of effort to setup.

You doubt what? I doubt that the boards will fetch a lot of money. But they're definitely worth holding onto. Actually, i think there's a SS7 board i put into one of my bosses PCs that is still used. If i ever get the chance, i'll try to reclaim it. Holy smoke, and here I am with overt half a dozen...

Well you should try now... there's a fella over in Jim's corner of the world asking a motza for SS7 platforms now, I mean really almost $200 for a vintage PC Chips mainboard? :P But i live in Queensland mate! and there's only one shitty board there (looks like a VX board). You guys are literally si...

(If it's running stable - it's in german^%$) someone should go rewrite the Super Socket 7 wikis!

Now we need some benchmarks to see any speed penalty.

Yeah.. The above post pretty much sums it up I don't know this mobo, but have you futz-ed around with mobo's cpu voltage ? Some boards have automatic and manual voltage detection, and setting it manually will overcome board failing to detect correct CPU. Even try .1 || .2 volts extra in case board i...

I've never found a 1meg L2 board either, never mind 2meg. Ebay.com.au: 0 results found for "socket 7"

Recently been messing with my much loved fedora 7 box to get it working with my Huawei USB modem, and making a second C2D box for when my Asrock 4coredual-sata2 finally die.s Trying to sell a couple of boxes too. [Tried to attach my advert, but attachment size is 150k. wtf!] I counted up my 10 mobos...

I ~was~ using an oldish version of memtest86+... but i don't think that was the problem 1) Because i was running the P4 (200FSB) at 100FSB 2) The system ~did~ seem incredibly slugish running knoppix But , the issue here is , running memtest on the P4@1400 gives VERY slow L1 and L2 access speeds ; on...

Sorry... Q9400 : 6mb quad core. They're still worth money for some reason, but slow quad cores aren't very useful IMHO. It's a hot 95w part, and the 3MB cache per Dual-Core (the max cache any single thread can use , i think) isn't heaps more than my E5200's 2MB. I'll hang on to it as it's my only sp...

Put my DDR2 back it to try out the timings.. and the whole first slot is dead! The remaining DDR2 slot seems to work fine now. Anyway, i have a PCIe card, and 2gig ddr2, so i might ditch this board (sometime!) for a better one, and have a real go at overclocking my E5200, or put in the spare Q9600 i...

ms-6530 "pentium 4" with ISA slot

MS-6530 i845 motherboard (oem). 2xSDRAM, AGP, 3xPCI, 1xISA There's not a lot around documenting this board, so i might post here. This board is a zippy i845 brookdale motherboard with a single ISA slot. Handy for all sorts of legacy hardware! I bought this old dust covered board of ebay for a buck +...

Thanks. Idea sounds good, and is something to remember. When i test it, i'll report back; but i'm a little busy and I've only got 512meg DDR2 dimms anyway, so 2x512DDR2 isn't much different to 1x1Gb DDR dimm. Just for completeness... Before i noticed this issue, this machine had sometimes been dying...
