Acording to this post http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/732 ... mhz-advice , it should be 256MB. But still, you should be looking for a cpu with L2 cache instead.

I really wouldn't bet on it. If your MB supports, go to a k6 2+ instead if you can't get a III+, both should be quite cheap now. Depending on your MB cache, a regular K6 2 will slow down your system too much due to it's maximum cacheable memory cap, which can be limited as some measly 128MB* if you ...

If you are on the AMD side and looking for the oldest, probably anything like a VIA KT133 and up will do, due to agp 4x support. I don't know about KX133, because these older slot A boards had some signal issues at 4X even though I didn't experience them at the time with GF2s. These boards still exp...

If I can help you, the HSI bridge is a device made to bridge native pci-E gpu based cards with agp slots. They actually run quite hot, and sometimes are handicaps themselves to the data bandwidth that modern cards provide, so overclocks are almost a recipe to failure. As they were made to be used on...

Though I have heard from others that the 8500 Radeon is the best card a Super 7 can use. Both nvidia and ati have way faster compatible cards than the 8500. Even the ati 9700pro (http://ati.amd.com/products/radeon9700/radeon9700pro/specs.html) says it's k6 and 3.3v compatible, same for the first ro...

Oh well, a few days ago the pci card arrived but it doesn't suit my my needs. The via vt6214L ain't a problem on my board, usb 2.0 is working fine as the vt6212L which was there before. The problem is the via vt6421L, as I can get only the pata+sata ports inside windows as the card seems to have no ...

BuonaDomenica, have you installed the card meanwhile? if so let us know your experience and also give us some benchnumbers. a very handy and small hd-test program is dskbench. needs no installation, just opens a cmd-window and tells you about read/write sequential and block scores. also tells cpu-u...
