did you read my post about a K6-III+450 offered on ebay (fixed price 39.99 + 12.00 postage)? offer is valid until 17th of march ... still 3 items available!
Yeah, I checked them out but they're not in the budget. :( I've got to source the parts for my other projects still.

Nice tidy set up. Have you tried 133MHz fsb with your board? The GA-5SMM has a 1/4 divider for the 124 and 133 settings so at 124 your pci bus is running at 31MHz instead of 33.3MHz. You should be able to run at 133MHzx4 giving 533MHz, which may run faster than at the 560 at 124. To do this you wou...

This MB runs the PCI bus at 31MHz @ 124FSB, whereas the stock 95FSB the PCI ran at 31.5MHz: SDRAM/PCI 66.8 / 33.4 75 / 30 83.3 / 33.3 95 / 31.7 97 / 32.33 100 / 33.4 112 / 37.3 124 / 31 133 / 33.3 I'm always running the system @ 560MHz and with cache enabled, runs better than ever actually. It doesn't look as though my processor wants to go any faster than this so I can't participate in the challenge...

I guess that's not bad since I only have a stock heatsink with some AS5 on it.
