Sorry to put up this thread,but are the K6-3 capable of doing 600mhz?
I just received the k6-3 I have in my sig,bought it for 6eur including shipping (guess it is not bad,all I see in ebay are 20dollars+shipping)
I am asking because I only can test it on my machine in about a month

what quake are you running? I had voodoo 2 12mb and sli,and voodoo 3 3000,and voodoo 5 5500 in socket 7 platforms (p200mmx@100x2.5,k6 266@???,k6-2 300@??) and all of them ran very good quake 1,2 and 3 (this one was a bit too much for p1) get the latest drivers in 3dfxzone,and try to use mesagl or so...

ppl here still asks about 15eur for a "good" cooler for socket A like those,I don't want to waste money on this system.. I have now a stockcooler from a duron 800,got 2x128 pc133 single sided sdram,I must fire up the thing again and try more overclocks and benches... Does it worth to sink ...

when I had k6 I used voodoo 3 3000,now I only have an mmx200 laying around with voodoo 2...voodoo cards rock =)

tweakbios allows to set isa speed with pci speed/number.it's a lill stupid,my rig does 3dmark2000@560 without a single error or breake..but while just surfing throught the folders and that things gives errors sometimes

I don't know too much about k6 but in the atlhon xp if your proc "eats" a lot of voltage you can burn in it to make it use less volts...with prime95 4 example..as I said my 2600+ in the begining need 1.9v to do 250x10 now with burn in it takes 1.725..can't it be the same with the k6?if I l...

Well I think this may be a usb latency thingy..I put up the latency and now I can use my pen good..without breaking the pc..but the conection fails sometimes..I have instaled a program called via pci latency something but I think that doesn't do anything lol
