GA-6VA7+

Question for Jim-> Did you resolve the BIOS issues with your GA-6VA7+ motherboards? I recently acquired a baby AT computer with a Gigabyte GA-6VA7+ motherboard in it. It is a Rev. 2.1 with an Award BIOS version F2. Did you find a safe way to flash this board to a higher version?
Thanks.

MultiBoot

Jim, Here is an ebay link to a hardware IDE switch. This would allow you to boot from three different hard drives. It has built in safety features to not allow a switch over while drive is powered. A friend owned an older version of this called a Romtec TriOS about 5 years ago, it worked well for hi...

PCI ATA133 Controller Card

Hi, I tried to install a Silicon Image 0680 ATA133 RAID Controller into a Asus P5A-B Motherboard, and it was not detected. I discovered that this controller card is PCI spec 2.2, and the ASUS P5A-B is PCI spec 2.1 . The older Silicon Image 0649 is PCI 2.1 spec and is ATA100. The Promise Ultra 100 is...

RE: Fastest AT Board

On the specs page, it mentions that the keyboard is an internal connector, cable option. I happened to come across a link to this motherboard on a Tech forum while googling for a different AT motherboard. I was suprised to see it, I thought socket 370 was the end of the line for Baby AT's.

Asus P5A-B Motherboard Question

Hello, I have a question about PCI slot 1 beside the Accelerated Graphics Port. Do these two slots share the same resources on an AladdinV Motherboard? I want to add an ATA 133 IDE controller in PCI slot 1 beside my ATI Rage Pro 128 graphics card, and hope that no conflicts occur.
Thanks in advance.
