@jim mmmh, from what you are saying what is written in the manual and your card not working properly you just might have fallen in the agp 1x-8x versus agp 1.0-3.0 trap. any agp card (even the 8x-cards) can be run at 1x speed (or any speed higher they are built for). that is a matter of bios/driver...

you should just try and pick up an radeon 8500/9100 series card or a geforce 3ti series they are very stable in k6 machines and about as good as you can get without wasting a card. a good geforce 3 or radeon 8500/9100 seies cards are far supior to any of the radeon 9000/9200 series.

yep i ran a leadtek A280le(gf4ti 4200 with agpx8) prefectly stable in a ms5184 motherboard for about a month. but the performence is shite!!!!, Get a gf3(and run old drivers) or a radeon 8500/9100 and run any driver you like. drivers for the gf4ti are in no way optimised for SS7, so getting a gf3 an...

i'd recommend a geforce 3 or a radeon 8500/9000 over a radeon 9200. because agp 3.0 cards don't play well with these old agp1.0 boards.
