I managed to flash other bioses with ATIwinflash 1.0.0.16 The 9100 one detects only 64mbyte DDR mem, even f it is designed for the 128mbyte one. Again I solved the conflicts problems, but I think that it is a compatibility issue. I know that 8500 is AGP 1.0 compatible but maybe the DFI doesn't give ...

I tried to solve the memory conflicts by manually assign them. I managed to solve the problems but only with the standard VGA drivers. I simply put a "1" instead of the "0" on the first number of each range in conflict. I.E. the conflict was for range 000000 - 000FFF Changed to 100000 - 100FFF Appar...

I had red the post of Shaddam before writing mine. I'm not going to solve those problems like Shaddam did (or didn't), I don't think they can be solved. I'm just trying to flash my card, cause I'm trying to solve the memory issues by flashing a 9100bios on it. Maybe it helps. The card does work in o...

Need help with a 8500LE BIOS (I'm trying it on a DFI K6XV3+)

Hi guyz, maybe this forum is my last hope to obtain some clever answers... I'm trying to put a 8500LE on a DFI board, and even if it is possible in theory, I know that it's a really hard challenge. In fact I got a lot of memory conflicts in win98 and XP. Even if I can load windows, it remains in VGA...

Bad news... I fried my puppy...

Hi guys... Bad news and bad news from Italy: my beloved k6-II+ died, two weeks ago, during a storm. I replaced it with a k6-III 450MHz@500MHz and I'm not complaining about it. I would like to find a K6-III+ at a reasonably price. Checking Ebay they seem have gone mad: 130 bucks for a puppy. Can anyo...

I have just tried a DivX on my VAIO (K6-2+ 533MHz with an infamous Cyberblade) and it runs ok, no sound delays, even if not PERFECTLY smooth, but I think that this is a VGA matter. Cyberblade is a really slow chip on 2D also... And I have WinXP on it....

I don't understand...

Ok Ok, anyone has push it to the limit to see if it's worth of the bucks?
It should be perferctly stable @600MHz, but what about higher frequencies?
It need only 6euros to ship it here in Italy I'm beginning to be more and more curious.

Overclocking a Vaio F801a??

Hi guys, I was just wondering if I actually can oveclock my Vaio. It has a K6-2+ 533MHz, I think it can be possible to obtain 100MHz FSB (so 550MHz) with no overheat issues. But how? I was also thinking about change the CPU with a K6-2 500MHz (taking the "plus" on a desktop), but I don't know if it ...

DFI K6XV3+/66 beyond 100MHz, is it possible?

Hi I got a K6XV3+/66 but on the manual there is no dip switch config beyond 100MHz.

Is there some hidden config?

Plus, how can enable 6x multiplier?

Was hoping that a K6-III (non plus) could be enough...
