I looked at the pin out diagrams for both the K6-2+ and the k6-III+ and they are identical so no joy there. As to the decapped cpu. I found it easy to do and the 500 cpu is running at stock voltage 2.0v at 600MHz. I am using a Globalwin CAK38 to cool the thing though. Thanks for the info on the K6-I...

I have a number of SS7 boards and have problems with finding AGP cards to match them. At the moment I am running two P5A's (one V1.04 the other V1.06). I have taken the heat spreader off a K6-2+/500 and can measure the size of the core. Has anyone taken the lid off a K6-III+ as we could see if the core sizes are the same. K6-2+ L2 Cache?
Just a general question for everybody out there. I note that the K6-2+ die has 128Kb onboard L2 cache and the K6-3+ has 256Kb onboard L2 cache. The question is are the K6-2+ and K6-3+ dies the same, but the K6-2+ only having 128Kb of cache activated. If this is the case do you think it is possible t...
