thats true, jim - but spacemarine asked for the older version of that board. the/66 version has by far better options (ata66, voltage down to 1,3V and a 256kb bios) which the normal version has not.

i had both boards for testing, what can i say? the p5bv3+ has a maximum of 1mb cache. it does support k6plus cpus (which the k6bv3+ does not) and has a great feature in powering off the fan, if the cpu is below a certain temperature. i would suggest to download the manual from the official dfi site:...

ok, some thoughts: the numbers with the letter inside the Gn number (4F...) are only observed on cpus with the *P* coding (not *P*W). i have no idea what these four letters mean. recently i found another T type cpu, but im not sure about it; stedman, can you have a look here and maybe confirm it? ht...

forgot to mention - to extract the module you need amibcp. @swaaye yes, i also heard that artx is terribly slow ... but i am not a gamer, im not interested in testing that kinda games. btw, the grafic artx device is integrated in the northbridge, so its not a gpu - the cpu has to do all the grafic o...

found a way to remove the video device out of the bios:

for ami bioses simply remove the bios module called
PCI AddOn ROM ; DevID=0004, VenID=1400.

got that info from rom.by, but its still untested. hope the artx graphic is dead after that modification and dont takes memory from sdram anymore.

thanks, jim!

i will try to upload the data posted here in future. i see your processor lies slightly below the Z-line - as far as i can tell, it is definitly a z-type cpu.

oh, thanks for that info, stedman (i slightly do remember you sent me these once allready). never saw numbers with a T at the beginning - this was/is confusing me. i would be very happy if someone else could provide some similar numbers. gravure numbers with a 9 i met only on very old year 98 cpus. ...
