Does cpucool support your pll chip. If it does you may be able to software overclock to 103 or 105 if your pll chip supports the speed.

Who knows? Anyway I'll take a look at the pll tonight. My chipset northbridge heatsink does get quite hot at 133MHZ so I have installed a small chipset cooler fan. I am running a ATI9250PCI card with the onboard SISVGA disabled in Windows. I am running Windows ME on the set up at the moment but I ca...

Witte, I agree the Aladdin V chipset memory benches are much quicker than the SIS530. However I can equal the Aladdin scores on Sandra2004 with the SIS530 chipset running at 133MHz. I also have an Asus P5A rev 1.4 board and a rev 1.5 board. The 1.4 board works OK with the K6plus chips the rev 1.5 bo...

Have now managed to get a water cooled set up. It is a Innovatek LC system. Unfortunately I do not have the socket A clip so I am just waiting for this to arrive to try the set up on the GA 5SMM set up. I do have a Koolance CPU heatsink but it is too big to fit onto the socket 7 set up. Using the Ko...

Witte, I have tried a P200MMX cpu using 133fsb and have never managed to boot it at this frequency. Seems Ok at 100fsb. I do not have the ASUS SIS board. I only have the Gigabyte version. I do have a selection of other SS7 boards but only the Gigabyte board has the 1/4 divider for 133 operation. My ...

Witte, It seems odd to me that you cannot get 133MHz fsb and can only get as far as 112fsb on your GA-5SMM board. What processors have you tried. In my set up I have successfully clocked K6plus processors to 133fsb with no problems at all with the external cache disabled and the onboard vga disabled...

Jim, It is a very good board. It has voltage settings for cpu, agp, and memory. It has dividers up to 1/6. It is also possible to to run the ram at 75% of bus speed. So you can run the fsb at 166 with a 1/5 divider and the memory bus at 125Mhz. Or it may be possible theoretically to run the fsb at 2...

Jim, The Crucial sticks do 150fsb @ 2-2-2-7 but the Twinmos sticks will not get to 150. However the Crucial sticks at 3-3-3-7 only get to 164fsb before faltering whereas the Twinmos sticks get all the way to 166fsb and I still need to know how much further they will go. I suspect not much further. A...

Jim, This board has a max fsb of 200Mhz and it does have the 6x divider to go with it. I have seen some people reporting benches with fsb's of around 170Mhz. Theoretically you could get a PIIIs 1.13 SL6BW to about 1700MHz at 200fsb if the board could take it and you could find some SDRAM that would ...

Jim, I have got 3 P-IIIs 1400's and one is the TB1 step SL6BY. I can get this cpu up to about 160fsb before it crashes, but this is at default voltage of 1.45v. I have both Crucial PC133 cl2 and these Twinmos PC133 cl2 ram. The best timings at 133fsb I get with the Crucial ram where it can be set at...

Got some 256mb cl2 PC133 Twinmos ram which seem to have 6ns chips. Have managed to get 166mhz out of them at 3-3-3-7 so far using a 1266mhz P-III-s (1578mhz). No overclocking of the pci/agp bus as the GA-6OXET board has the 1/5 divider. Everest gives at these timings MR/MW/ML 1222/286/98.2 and Super...

Has anyone yet managed to get a stick of 512mb to run in a SIS530 chipset board? I have my set up running now as follows AMD K6-III+450 @ 600 (133 x 4.5 ) external cache disabled Gigabyte GA5SMM v1.2 bios F5 Radeon PCI 128mb 9250 2x256mb Twinmos PC133 CL2 @2-3-2-6 I have a large copper cooler on the...
