The BIOS Patcher (by apple_rom - http://www.rom.by/) has been around for a while.

It is supposed to "automatically" patch your BIOS...but it can be quirky (or so I'm told over at Wim's).

Use it at your own risk.

Thanks.

Everest can show you the Product ID and the Product Key. AFAIK, you can use any CD...but the Product Key(s) *should* be different (piracy, licensing, etc...). Of course, if you have uninstalled the OS on your original machine because you upgraded to a new one, you should have no trouble using the or...

You would have to map out the VCore circuit to see what it is capable of.

Thanks.

Testing a Power Supply with some load on it is always better than testing it unloaded (you will get a more accurate voltage reading).

Though the System BIOS *may* not recognize the full capacity of the HDD, Windows will.

Thanks.

@DonPedro -

HijackThis shows the same information.

@sylvan2626 -

I had him run this earlier. It was clean.

@KHPower -

"Brute force" always works. :wink:

Thanks.

HKLM = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

From there, just follow the "plus signs" -

HKLM
Software
Microsoft
Windows
CurrentVersion
URL
Prefixes

Name: www
Type: REG_SZ
Data: http://

If you see the following instead, you've found the problem.

Code: Select all

Data: http://www.serials99.com/?

Did you see that in there? I cant seem to see it. I was referring to Motaba's post (which I edited below for clarity). Open your regedit and search for serials99.com. You will find the key somewhere down at: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\URL\Prefixes\ The subkey "www" wil...

You will already overcome it by installing the K6-III.

I would leave the Motherboard cache enabled because it will act as an L3 cache...further enhancing performance (in *most* cases).

Run HijackThis.

It should tell you what the problem is.
