In practise I have found freezing problems at temps a lot lower than the rated 85 C for an ACZ. They will usually freeze at about 50C. Maybe they can take 85C without destroying the chip; but they don't work that hot in my experience. depending on how much they are overclocked, i think. 50C is not ...

seems, we are approaching the problem. install the nhc 2.0 program ... or even let everest tell you the cpu temp, if its shown. when the cpu freezes, it will show the last updated temp - thats what we want. if the heatsink isnt touchable for a long time - it has about 55-60C, the cpu could have up t...

dude,

just try out. download a bootable floppy for entering msdos, use awdflash.exe to flash jans bios - and you will see, if it works or not. the programs does not let you flash if the part numbers not match.

ah, sorry, i was sure there is a 66mhz setting ... ok. to find a pll search for a 1cm wide and 2cm long black rectangle chip from ICS (i guess thats the manufacturer). it has about 20 pins on each side and is located near a silver, more or less oval, frequency crystal (reference oscillator). there i...

what the bios tells you on boot? does it recognize the cpu well? to know, if there can be a problem with the agp/pci speed, u need to tell the specs of one part on the mobo - the pll, which controls fsb, pci and agp speeds. if you have free access to the mobo, tell me. the best you can do is replaci...

if the cpu is not stable at 500, ot wont be at 504 as well, so no fsb increment would help. raise the voltage. +0,2V is ok, but that depends on which k6 III version you have. you can flash your p5a-b eeprom just with your 2013 board. aminf335.exe flashes nearly everything. you have to exchange the e...
