Article Idea?

Post by jonwest »

Some time over the next month or two I am going to rebuild one of my K6 systems as sort of an ultimate 98SE/Xp dual boot machine and kick it up to be the best SS7 PC that I can build. The thought crossed my mind that this might be a good opportunity to document this, including all of the pitfalls and gotchas of the process and write an article describing how to bring an old SS7 into the new millenium with style. I have always loved this community (going way back to the AMD Zone days) and would love to contribute something to this site. What do you all think?

I'll definitely read it. I love optimizing old systems to see what they can do with modern software (even though it's not always cost efficient;)

Cool sounds like it's worth my time to it then.

Fun fun fun. I can't say for sure when I'll start the rebuild but when I do I'll document everything and take some photos/screenshots and put it together into an article that current and future SS7ers may find useful!
