Of course it's still going. You come back once in a while don't you ? Believe it or not I am still running nothing faster than a K6. Gets me by, though I am working on a new machine now.

It's still a useful resource. You would be surprised how many old K6-2 based computers I still see in regular use. For just getting on the Internet or running Word, they still get the job done just fine. The two best laptops I have are both old K6-based systems that have received an upgrade to K6-2+ or K6-III+, and they're quite satisfactory.

The heavy-duty stuff gets done on my C2D with the overclock to 3GHz and the 3GB of RAM. Next stop there is going to be a PhenomX4 Black Edition.

Wha Dat ? Me I am building a 2.4 Gig quad core machine with 4 Gig of 800 Mhz Ram. Figure that will do me as long as I live.

SuperRelay & I are still around. Blue visits every once in a while. Mr Toast has been gone for years now.

You should jump in IRC some time.

My netbook replaced my K6!

Once in a while, and even tough my k6-III+ box has been resting for a long time, I always take a look around here too ;).

Still, the amd bug is going strong around here, a top 754 system is going to replace an older one, and I'm starting to adventure in the am3 land.

k6 lives!

Well.

Not so much a regular here on the forum but I WAS on irc quite a bit a few years ago.

Work took over and I couldn't spend as much time on there as I used to.

Now... I don't have much excuse, I haven't worked a "real" job for the last 2 years.

The last 2 months though, I've been working 16 hour days trying to get my business off the ground. :)

HI NOHR!!! Yeah, I survived the spring flood. Say HI to everyone on irc for me. One of these days I'll get back on there.

Thanks for the FTP stuffs. I see that in the uploads you still rule dude. :D

+1 :2ar15

You'd be amazed at who you can bump into from these forums 'around the traps'

I haven't ventured into AM2 territory yet as I'm still satisfied with my s939 system's performance... I did however send the old PR233 Cyrix system to the tip last week as it had outlived it's usefulness & I'm now forced to rationalize what computer parts stay (and what goes) :(

you cant rationalize that would mean my 80386 is garbage

Im glad this site didnt bite the dust like countless other old websites that stored invaluable information on older hardware. :banana
I had a large collection of links from 2004-2008 that are now useless, since most sites simply do not exist anymore. Not even in the Internet Archive.
