ok

Post by io333 »

but what about f*ck and sh*t? Is that OK, or should it just be gone? I really don't have a problem with no more explitives -- I hadn't considered the kids/parents thing. If you want them gone, they're out of here, no complaints from me.

re swearing

Post by Cryptokid »

i strongly oppose this limitation imposed upon us. but its your site, so i will abide by your wishes.

my reasoning: the internet is full of bad things everywhere, trying to censor it wont change the rest of the internet, if you have your kids with you while your surfing random free sites, you should know theres probably swearing and maybe even nudity. it would be in the best interest of "kids" not to be allowed to visit random websites, but instead be restricted to www.disne.com www.powerrangers.com etc. "kids sites"

but like i said, this is your site, so i will go along with it, although unhallipy

My personal thoughts on this are that occasionally there is a place for profanity (i.e. you just fried you CPU), but that people using it excessively turns off some of our other visitors. We do have some young 'uns and more conservative members as well.

All we ask is that you use moderation. The one place I think that should be left as profanity free as possible is the topic line.

One way to look at it is that what you write is a reflection of who you are, and that profanity can tarnish your image a bit if used excessively...

We have better things to do than edit/delete posts, and would rather not have to do so. This is a community we are building, so keep this in mind when posting on this forum.

Same to you Blue! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">
(just kidding...)
All,

Seriously, though, I am seeing a little more restraint now, which is nice to see. Your restraint is very much appreciated, even if you <censored> want to rip the <censored><censored> off of a <censored> and barbecue them in <censored> while exercising such restraint...
AMD K6III+ 550 @619 2.2v~ DFI K6BV3+/66 Rev B 2 MB~ Cardex GF2 MX 400 4ns GS 250/250~ 256 MB Micron PC133 CAS2~ Aureal SQ2500 (I will miss Aureal)~ Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 45 46.1gb ~ etc etc etc
