Unformatting the C:\WINDOWS folder

Post by Airliners 2000 »

Hey guys,

Last week I reformatted my C<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> WINDOWS folder to correct various issues and forgot to back-up the Fonts and Start Up Menu folders.

As a result, I lost many fonts that I had gathered over the years and my entire Start Up menu.

Losing the Start Up menu is okay as I can recreate the shortcuts, however losing the Fonts folder is really what's bad.

I've heard there are ways to "unformat" parts of the hard drive and even the entire hard drive.

I have Norton System Works 2.0, is there any program that comes with it that will let me bring back the Fonts and Start Up Menu folders?

If not, what other ways are there?

I'm using Windows 98 Second Edition

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Holidays
