Processor details....
Ok all, just some info on it:

K6-III 333MHz, AFK processor, thus 2.2V core.

B 9980APEW (if that line of code means anything to anyone).

I've run it without a hitch, without having to up the voltage at 366 (5.5x66FSB) in a board that only went up to 66MHz FSB, but have for the bulk of the time used it at 350 (3.5x100FSB) in my main system. In fact, I don't think I used it at its normal speed of 333 for any more than like 2 minutes or so.

I've never run any intensive burn-in tests or anything though.

At stock voltage it will not boot up at 400MHz, but will just give a blank screen.

That's about all I've got on it . . any questions, feel free to ask, although I can't necessarily promise a useful answer!

Good luck everyone!
--------------------
FIC PA-2013 2.0 E-O036, K6-2+ 450 @ 500 1.9V

FIC PA-2013 2.0 E-O036, K6-III 450AFX @ 500 2.2V

Acer Quasi-proprietary Mid-Tower with P-II 266

hmm
I have that same cpu, its great I don't really understand why no ones getting in on this stuff
even if everyone got in on it you would have a 1/240 chance of getting a nice little free cpu

I bet you could get 400 MHz at 2.4v. Almost all the K6-III 333 chips can do that, or at 2.5v tops. I usually ran them at 392/112 at 2.4v.

Got just the home for it
If I'm lucky, reckon I can use it to release an underutilised K6-III 450 (the mobo can't go above 6x66).

And that offer of a K6 2+ 450 as a second prize is still on the table if the draw goes my way.

mmmmmmmm...........
mmmmmmmm.......yummy full speed L2 cache.....seems to be the only thing that 9x really responds to. Count me in for that delicious little morsel.
Love this new background. It gives the site an aire of permanence. Very easy on the eyes.

giveaway-cool!
Would it be faster than my k62-400?If so count me in.

it's about time
for me to win one of these. I could actually use the chip!

Count me in !
Hey, I like these odds !
- Mana

well?
I won!

Didn't I?

Well, I hope so anyway. I have a system so desperately in need of the chip.

It's an old HP pavillion with a 4 gig hard drive that I stuck 192K of ram into and then put XP on it.

But the processor right now? A K6-300. UGH!

WinXP right now is barely OK on it. The K6-3+ would put new life into it.

And it is a machine that gets constant daily use in an office. Let the lottery gods give this one to a box that so desperately needs it!
