RE: Server error message

Post by Jim »

Peter got to this ahead of me. I was going to start a thread about this but his was already here. I too have encountered this error message several times, (usually when clicking the submit button to enter a post), and what I have done is press the back button, which brings me back into the "Edit" window, from which I press the submit button again. This results in a double post. And I suspect that I am not the only one encountering that, because I have noticed that Stedman5040 has made a couple of double posts lately.

I've come across those 500 errors a few times lately myself. I'm not sure what's going on.

I've seen this too. I just let is go since a "refresh" usually brought up the page I was looking at.

I've actually had this show up in the "Topic Review", while the rest of the "Post a Reply" page loads fine...if that helps any.

Me too. It's been happening at random lately. Also, I have noticed some pages don't load completely sometimes (they sort of get "cut off") and must be manually refreshed. Happens when viewing or posting here.

I've been in touch with my webhost support and hopefully the problem is now resolved. Please let me know if you receive any more 500 errors and specify what you were trying to open when it occurred.

I had one today when I went to open the hardware / tech corner forum a couple of hours ago. May have been fixed since.
EDIT : Just now when I went from this post back to the hardware / tech corner, the page there only half loaded.

Been getting them on and off...not keeping track though because the page usually loads on the second try.

Seems to be more weekend related though to me...anyone else noticing that?

They're trying another fix. Please let me know if you continue to experience 500 errors after this point.
