We are always open to suggestions on how to make the site work and look better.

You aren't going to hurt my feelings; I have only been working with html for a month now and am open to any suggestions on how to improve my coding skills...

Relay's skill is higher than mine, but he is handling the cool stuff like the flash menus and such...

One theme I do go by when writing new code for the page is making sure it looks ok on a wide variety of browsers (i.e. you opera and netscape users out there, as well as aol and ie users). You're definitely heading in the right direction!

I've been favorably impressed with your site, especially, all the effort you put into getting hyperlinks to articles up in the news section. It is what will bring people over to the site. Also, you guys seem ambitious, you've got Crucial advertising on your site. I helped ya' out by buying some at these depression prices! Keep up the good work!

Just curious Mr. Toast, I have the front page set to be my Home page but the darned thing loads so painfully slow (4:40 sec.). Is it all the page and Graphics slowing me down, or my speedy 24K Dial-up connection ? The front page at AMDZone is bad for me also. This happens on each and every load of the page (even if I have loaded it 3 times before in the same day). I empty my caches about once a week so its not that.

By the way, the site looks good.

I am on dialup too, and even though I have a slightly better connection these days (phone company must have upgraded a section of cable somewhere) my page load times aren't nearly that bad (except for the contacts page...us people and our egos!)

Not sure to tell you where to look; anyone else have ideas?
My sig

AZK6er, I've got a slow connection, 26.4, and it doesn't take that long to load?

I archived older news this afternoon, so that should help you dialup users a bit.

AZK6er, might try a different browser

Post by allans2k »

It crossed my mind if you're using IE or Navigator, they are pretty massive apps and I've found, at times, they are very slow. You might try a different browser if it's that much of a problem such as NeoPlanet or Opera?
