One of my K6 III+ 550Mhz on eBay. Did I really say that?

I don’t really know if coming here to hock my stuff right, but I’ve seen many other people do it so here goes! (I feel so dirty) I’m parting out one of beloved K6 III+ Systems that includes a 550Mhz Chip. I posted it on eBay hoping to get a few bucks for it. If anyone is interested, take a look at this link:

If a Member from K6Plus ends up buying any of my K6 items (Chip, MVP3G5 Motherboard, Crucial Memory) mention this post after the auction and I’ll through in the shipping and insurance for free.

I don’t think it would be best to end the auction early. Those eBay users tend to send nasty emails when an auction they’re interested in suddenly ends  . I was thinking of doing a “buy it now” but changed my mind. As for thinking of a reasonable price if I would end it early, I don’t think there is such a thing when it come to the 550’s. I sold a K6 III+ 475Mhz last spring and it almost reached $200. I would really doubt my current one up for sale would go that high since the Athlon prices have dropped so much recently and the Athlon64’s are coming out soon.

This K6 III+ has been a very good CPU. It was able to run all the quake 3 engine based games quite well at LAN parties without over-clocking. I did have a pretty good video card I guess. The guys with Pentium (oops… I just used the "P" word) III and IV’s were very surprised my old trusty K6 could keep up. Anyway, if you decide to bid, it would be nice if one of the K6Plus guys get it. That way I’d know it would have a good home :) .

Ehh, oh well. Hopefully the price won't get too outrageous. I saw another K6-3+ 550 thats up for auction and there was a bidding frenzy and now it's at almost $120. Yours is already at $70 and there's still 5 days left!

I have $60 right now... all I can say is I hope I save up enough!

What a wild eBay ride that was. :P I 'd say I did pretty well. It's amazing how valuable these 550's still are. They're worth their weight in gold!
