Any Socket 7 boards capable of a stable 124+ FSB?

Post by Doom5 »

Are there any boards for the Socket 7 platform that not only support 124/133/above, but are stable at such speeds? Do any boards have a working 1/4 divider?

I've read the ALi chipset works best at higher FSBs, but I don't have any experience with any of the ALi/Via or Sis boards.

Thanks.

The answer is yes. The SiS530 chipset boards have been tested as being stable at the 124 & 133FSB and have a 1/4 PCI divider. It is believed the AGP bus is overclocked so you would need to disable the onboard video and use a PCI video card. My personal favorite is the Asus P5S-VM which has a jumper to disable the video and is very compatible with most PCI video cards out there.

Looks pretty good. Any boards capable of higher than 133?

I haven't seen anyone here running a Sis540.
