MVP3G2 strange USB problems...

Hi guys,
I got a problem with an MVP3G2.
I updated it to the latest bios,
K6-II+ 550,
DVD-RW,CDRW, 40Gbyte HD,
Radeon-7000,
256Mbyte ram,
ISA network card,
with no probs.
I installed XP-pro SP2 on it, still no probs.

Checked the System manager, no "!" in it, all ok. BUT

The USB ports even if are correctly detected don't seem to work.
The Sidewinder pad isn't detected nor the USB pendrive (iomega).
I tried enabling the usb legacy support in bios but nothing changed...

It was the LAST problem I had though it may happen...

Some suggestions?

Have you tried using this driver on it?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean Kachiwachi, but I feel like the problem could be there.
Where is that pin?

Just search the Internet using Keyword "USB Pinout" for this information.

oh now I understand...
But, the mvp3g2 is an ATX board, the onboard USB ports come with the rear in/out so there is no pinouts.

The "external" USB connector still has 4 pins... +5V, Ground, and +/- Data.

If the device is not self-powered, it won't show up on the bus if the USB +5V is not present.

But I dont' know how to determine if the usb is powered, I don't see pins around for USB...

ok how can determine if the power is active? The system device manager says that all is ok...
And the internal pins are ok also...

You'll need to whip out the old Voltmeter and see what's what.

ouch... Maybe it's better if I search for a PCI USB card...
