Hi guys,
Anyone has tested a 9600XT or a 9800XT on a P5A rev1.03, well, I want to know if these more recent AGP VGA's will work in my old Socket 7 Warrior!
If needs, my rig:
K6-2+ 500 @ 605 2.2v + 100% Cooper heatsink + 60mm fan
ASUS P5A rev 1.03
256mb Corsair PC-150 @ 110 2-2-2-6
(Cr@ppy ) Inno3D Riva TNT2 M64 32mb 100/125
4.3gb HD
Generic 400W PSU
Windows XP SP3
Thanks for help, and sorry my bad english.
EDIT: Well, I have searched and the answer is NO!!!
Anyone has tested a Radeon 9500 or 9700?
9600XT or 9800XT + ASUS P5A rev1.03, works?

I am told they will work; though I have not personally tried them. I have used a Radion 9000 on a DFI K6BV3+/66 and also used a Radion 7500 AIW on a P5A-B, which works fine once you sort out the memory conflicts you get running Win98-SE.

I thought the 9700 Pro series where the best and last ATI cards to officially support agp 2x at 3.3V

There is a couple of discussions regarding the best VGA card you can plug into a K6 machine.
Just use the search function.
9700 and 9500 will work with no probs (like Geforce FX5950 and down)
I doubt you can use the 9800pro, maybe a 9800SE@PRO but I don 't guarantee. For the 9600XT there is a no go, it's keyed for 1.5V only.
If you want a balanced system with perfect DVD acceleration you can use a Radeon 8500 or a 9200 128bit.
It will be far more faster than the Geforce you are using.
