Recommended motherboards

Hi,
I'm getting an old Amd K6 cpu @ 300mhz and I'm looking for a motherboard to put it in.
I've
asked around and recommended motherboards I was named were the following:
- gigabyte ga-5ax
- Asus P5A or P5A-B
- DFI K6BV3+/66
- DFI P5BV3+
- Aopen ax59pro
- epox mvp3g5
- tyan trinity1598
- tmc ti5vga-ultra
Since it can get quite hard to get a good motherboard for cheap on ebay (I'm in Germany) it's good to have as extensive a list as possible about which motherboards I should grab if the opportunity arises (so far the only cheap options I've had were of lesser ones, I saw a bunch of P5As but they were very expensive).
Any comments/additions about the above list?

I bought a P5A for a guy in Bulgaria, not so long ago. Cost me $ 25.00 at a store here in Toronto. Used one though, but it worked fine.

I would definitely grab one at that price if I could - those I ran into on ebay were more like 70 eur (=$100 CAD). I'll just keep looking I guess.

If you want, I will go down to that store and check to see if they have another P5A board for sale. If they do, I can mail it to you, if you like.

That would be great, thanks a lot! How much did shipment to Europe cost you? The slowest/cheapest possibility would be fine for me as speed is of no issue

I went to that store today, and they didn't have any K6 motherboards now. But I think I have a spare P5A-B Rev 104, if that might interest you.
Well, I checked my shelves, and I have :
A P5A-B Rev 103 that I am not using.
A P5A-B Rev 104 that I am not using.
A P5A-B Rev 105 that I am not using.
My "SUPERPUPPY 2" machine has another P5A-B Rev 104 in it.

That's great of you to offer Jim!
Just yesterday 2 "new old stock" (unused old ware from storage) ali V microAtx boards popped up on ebay in my city (Berlin):
http://www.ebay.de/itm/NOS-Super-Sockel ... 3f3cd87a84
It's a bit expensive (46 euro), but I can pick it up since it's nearby & not pay for shipment.
So the questions are:
1. how much hassle/cost would it be to ship your board from canada to germany?
2. how does a p5a-b compare to the microatx board on the above link?
3. how much of a hassle would it be to mount a baby-at board in an atx case? I tried hunting for baby-at cases on ebay and non-dumpster-quality are really hard to find.
I'm leaning towards getting the local board and saving us both a bunch of work, since I already got
this old microatx case+power supply that used to house a pentium2 and the local board would fit right in. the local board has fewer expansion slots that the pa5-b, but I only need AGP for my voodoo 3 3500 & 2 PCIs for an ethernet card & soundblaster live. Also the pa5-b can support higher fsb, but right now I'm only getting a k6-300 which I hope to run at maximum 100mhz fsb anyway.
What do you think?

Ideally, for best results, you want a K6-3+ processor. They will easily clock up to 600 MHZ, which is what you need to watch videos. I know NOTHING about the type of board that you have found, so I can't say if it is good or not. The local store I went to has plenty of K6-2 500 processors, but they are not as good as K6-3+ processors. Re the cost of mailing a board to Germany from Canada, I am not sure, but I could check.

Well I don't really need to watch videos on it, I mostly just want to play old (dos/win9x) games (I have a modern cheapo i3 PC desktop for day to day stuff). I think I'll buy the microAtx board from the local guy, the specs look good enough (ali5 with 512kb cache, 100mhz fsb) & it will be a lot less hassle than shipping stuff around the globe
I really appreciate the offer though!
