I'm waiting even longer to upgrade now, check this out:
3GIO

Looks like Intels still calling the shots even though AMDs been cleaning up the floor with them for a while now. Anyway now I'm going to hold on to SS7 until 2Ghz, 2 CPU, 4G of RAM with 100G hard drive PCs with 3GIO are common place and can be had for less than $500.

yeah, it does look like a good advance in technology, and one that could be worth investing in when it comes time, however ill wait till an industry wide standard is set before i jump at anything like that.

just my $.02
K63+@575
192Mb Ram
GeForce 2 MX @ 200/200
32x8x4 CDRW
Custom Modded Chrome Orb

That stories expired now but the way I remember it Intel, MS, IBM and AMD were supporting it..that pretty much means it's going to be a standard.
