K6Speed and XP - what's the go?

Post by Revhead »

Anything special about getting K6speed working under XP?
Recently upgraded and now it refuses to work - but spotted a post where Kyle reckoned it should?
Thanks
Thanks, Revhead

It has something to do with the location of where it was installed at. There is a info in the readme about WinNT and Win2K and the requirements for directory location and registry keys and uninstalling.

Thanks George but I'm happy to report that it just started working of its own accord.
Just needed a couple of reboots.
Guess I can put off that Socket A once again.
Thanks, Revhead

I sorta recall when I installed k6speed on one of my win2k boxes it did not initially work, but on reboot it did. Maybe I made an error in the installation of the driver, but on other boxes, it has worked first time. Oh well, since the time I created the driver, that HD crashed and all I have left is source code, my development environment is trashed, so hopefully the driver will never need an update, hehe.
