Long story short:

I was going to backup my nic drivers located in the system32/drivers dir on
WinXP, found a file called amdk6.sys and googled it.

Now the question is can anyone make any sense of this?

Not sure, cause I am a dope where software is concerned; but it seems to be a processor driver file, that excludes some superflous crap for the sake of greater speed, which has been edited to remove anything not pertinent to a K6 type processor.

BTW -- Thanks, -- will give it a spin when I am ready to bring SP3 back up.

this file seems to be dealing with some power-saving issue when a pc (laptop) is used with a mobile cpu and is powered by battery.
