Have you tried it? I know you were a fan of the original NOLF. The reviews have been very good.

I have read the reviews. One site called it game of the year, and it probably deserves at least that.

Also, it has a multiplayer coop mode that should go over well at lan parties and such. Maybe Nohr and the gang can take a break from UT to try this...

I haven't picked it up yet though... I'll let you know when I do (or maybe someone else here will beat me to it).

I've never played either version. Is it good? What's it like? I've been busy playing Diablo II and UT2003 lately. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Athlon Thunderbird 1GHz@1.35GHz (9x150)
Iwill KK266
256MB Crucial PC133 CAS2 5-2-2
Gainward GeForce3 Ti200 4ns 231/524
Gateway EV910 19" monitor (1600x1200 .26mm)
Western Digital WD800JB 80GB 7200rpm
Lite-On 24/10/40x CD-RW | Toshiba 16/48x DVD-ROM
Windows XP Professional

Well, I have very fond memories of the original NOLF, even with the video problems (nice to know NOW that a lot of people were having issues with the video, not just me).

The part where Kate (the character you control in the game) jumps out of the back of an exploding plane with no parachute and has to 'borrow' one from one of the bad guys whilst being shot at in midair still sticks in my mind...
<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

The first game was very well done, and so far it looks like the second one is a lot better, but I won't know for myself until I buy it.

In the meantime...

It appears there is a demo available for download for those who want to try out the Jupiter engine/NOLF...

nolf2.sierra. ...

Requirements are large!

I installed the demo on my gaming system and it suggested that I not set high details. It said I needed a 2 GHz P4, and 128 MB vid card for that. (I have an XP 1700+, and 64 MB Radeon 8500 retail). For medium details it says 1 GHz P3, 64 MB vid card, low details 500 MHz P3, 32 MB vid card. The card has to run in 32 bit color and have hardware T&L.

Try it on your super7 system Mr. Toastz <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> See if it runs like a slide show :P
