Windows button icons displaying incorrectly?

Post by His Royal Majesty King V »

All,

I'm using Windows 98lite. Everything used to work fine with it.

However, at some point or another, I think I deleted a file I shouldn't have.

During things like using Active Movie Player, or opening a file, or something like that, the tiny icons seem distorted somehow. As if each of the buttons was made of 2 images layered together, and one is missing.

Take a look at this: Image

See the buttons to the right of Look in: My Computer near the top? Note how they look wrong.

Anyway, anyone know what file I'm missing? I can just copy it from one of my other Win98 machines.

Thanks in advance.

Don't know whether this will work in Lite.......

Start > Run.

Type SFC.

Checks for altered or corrupt system files.
