K, will try that once I get the 98 boot setup. Incidentally the new Enermax that I just picked up is for SP2. "Q" : What is the resistance range of these things anyway? i.e. Realize they arn't all the same; but from what to what do they run?

It depends if they are thermocouples or thermistors.

IIRC, a thermocouple will read zero ohms.

Omega has a chart with some of their more popular thermistors...which are in the KΩ range.

Thanks.

If thermocouples have a nominal resistance of 0 ohms, I can understand why my mods would throw them way off. But I can't understand why thermistors would be affected by what I did, if they are by chance thermistors. Could you explain that please?

Not a clue.

Why don't you just "ohm out" one and find out.
