Add Feature to Page

Add "Mark all topics read" to the "Posts since your last visit" page.

Simple enough?

Think it's more down to searching for pnphpbb mods, or modifying phpbb ones.
Guess you could write one from scratch but it requires some knowledge of PHP.

Any takers?

Edit: I think it would be a nice feature, along with the fixes for time format and the goto first unread etc.

The item already exists in each forum, but not on this particular page...where it makes the most sense to have it from a "review topics since last visit" standpoint.

hello nohr, hello everybody!

sometimes there is "heavy traffic" and a lot of posts - spread over many threads - are added within just some days.

I really would appreciate if the site features a link where one could ask the system to list all threads with new posts since the last time the user went offline (default starting point). the user should also have the opportunity to choose from a list of # of days how far he/she (eh, any ladies around here?) wants to go back in time. my imagination is that such a "List Posts"-drop down field can be placed just above the "Latest Posts" section. next to it is a go-button. without selecting any value from this #ofdays-list the go button takes the date/time one has left the forum.

it would be convenient if the list produced gives the title of thread, # of "new" posts in it and indented a list of direct links to these respective posts giving information who wrote that post, header of that post (something that is already available to fill in when one posts, but up to now it is of no "use") and the date/time posted. this would give the opportunity to exactly continue with reading the thread where one has left the forum or chooses otherwise.

so far one chooses via the "latest posts" section, but this jumps directly to the very last post of the respective thread and one has to backtrace where the discussion was left. this "latest posts" section also only provides for the last 6 threads which sometimes is just not enough, especially if one is absent for a week or longer.

another drawback of the current "latest posts" display is that it looses its "new post!"-color scheme once one has clicked on one of those links.

I hate to disappoint but this appears to be beyond my skill level to implement.

DonPedro: Your best bet is to use the "View posts since last visit" link in the upper right of the forum index.

KachiWachi: I've only just noticed this myself but there is a "Mark all forums read" link in the lower left of the forum index.

I saw that, but it doesn't make sense to have it there, since you can't see what you are marking as "read". (Note - Please see my third post to this topic - Thanks.)

Is is that hard to copy this link over to the "Posts since your last visit" page?

It sounds simple but there are so many PHP files that I'm not sure which is the correct one.
