Just a note

Post by Jim »

Superpuppy-2 has had an equipment failure; and Superpuppy-3 is still undergoing extensive modifications in the course of its rebuild. That is why I haven't been around lately. Warlord, have not forgotten your request, though after having glimpsed what you have done to that Aptiva, not sure you are still interested. Will be back once SP-3 is back up. Typing this on the shop computer at Uptown Computer, my friendly local store.

Runs NT4, - Lousy internet; and been so long since I have used it, that I don't remember the password needed to get in. Oh well SP-3 is coming along nicely. Very elaborate little circuit I designed for it almost finished. Should be back up in a month or two at the latest.

Works like a charm when it comes to resetting passwords, been using it
on NT/2k and XP without a hitch.

Thanks Cake. Checked my replacement board for SP-2; and though it works, the caps look suspect. Sooo, I put SP-1 back toghether, (had been using the processor for test ing in SP-2 when I was runing OS Mark because of the heat disapation problem that SP-2's original processor had.) Now I just got to figure out how to get the file from this blankety blank laptop to SP-1. This thing doesn't seem to like any of the floppies that I give it, - says they are all no good. Am starting work on putting SP-5 together, so I'll have a usable machine to work w/ till SP-3 is back up.

I suppose getting back to reality when the super puppies are ill is not so bad afterall.

I mean, here I am, with 2 KILOS of black Licorice Twizzler's setting up my watercooling system and Athlon system, checking for leaks, making sure the MOSFET's are kept cool with a new more powerful case fan and brandspanking new power supply to keep the case cool whilst the system is humming (literally) along. Stay away from the net for as long as possible Jim, taking a break from this realm can be a welcome detachment from the matrix. Ohh well, back to toiling with computer hardware.
