Bad news... I fried my puppy...

Post by mamba »

Hi guys...
Bad news and bad news from Italy:
my beloved k6-II+ died, two weeks ago, during a storm.

I replaced it with a k6-III 450MHz@500MHz and I'm not complaining about it.

I would like to find a K6-III+ at a reasonably price. Checking Ebay they seem have gone mad: 130 bucks for a puppy.

Can anyone help to find it?

Even "UpgradeAbility" is cheaper than that. http://www.upgradeability.com/index.htm --- $39.99 to 99.99 USD depending on type.

The problem here is the shipping cost. I hope to find one in Europe...
But I'm cecking also all your links but upgradeability. I bought from them a K6-2+ 450 ATZ and they never send it to me... :(

@Jim -

Fixed.

I wanted the links in blue, but it seems the forum doesn't like it when you add color to links...though you can colorize embedded links. :(

Code: Select all

JLM Electronics <- Works

@ Mamba : Did you contact them and enquire about it? I had a problem like that once w/ a K6-3+450ACZ I bought from them. Turned out it was sitting in the local post office there because of a customs issue. Got them to sort that out and got my "Guaranteed to do 600 Mhz" ACZ from them though it took a while. That is the one in SP3.

@ KachiWachi : Unfortunately the link to "Surplus Computers" doesn't specify what kind of K6-3+ they are selling. Could be either an ACZ or an APZ as far as I can tell.

I won an auction on Ebay and the seller was them. I paid throu Paypal, but the K6 never arrived.
Actually they send it to a wrong address and they knew that.

Fortunately Paypal has an insurance...

Jim, it says "2.0V Core". Wouldn't that mean ACZ?
