Hey thanks for the concern but we're all right down here, nasty fires though highest loss of life to bush fires in our Nations history

The fires had excess fuel on the forest floor because we've moved away from the 'fuel reduction' forest maintenance we used to conduct religiously... environmentalists

Perhaps... all I know is the indigenous people were conducting 'cold' burn-offs well before settlers landed on these shores to promote new growth in the forests & eradicate excessive ground cover, their existence hinged on a healthy eco system

It was an awful day with gale force winds and extreme high temperatures combined with the forest conditions already mentioned & the fact everything was tinder dry due to our lack of sufficient rain in recent years
