Hard to believe most of us were on dial-up when we first met and believe it or not, I still have my K6-III+ But I blew the power supply.

Now days I'm running everything from an Asus K73SV Laptop with a Core i7 2630QM processor, with 8 gigs of ram, GEforce GT 540M Cuda .1GB Graphics card and I'm loving it.

Bronx69 -=- !!! AMAZING !!! Thankyou so much for the PCR files, and the : 1) Boost CPU speed.zip 2) Super CPU Boost .zip 3) Ultra Cache.zip

You were such a help to me in getting my K6-3+ Machines working well, that the least I can do is supply you with : a BRAND NEW, (unused), 300 Watt Antec AT Power Supply if you want it. (I have 3 of them - 2 have never been used and 1 has only been used to test LEDs and occasionally test a mobo).

Hi Jim! And you're welcome :) I may just take you up on that offer. it's not easy finding those power supply's anymore. I'll get back to you later on that.

But wow, we accomplished so much. To me our most impressive work was the Bronx 69 ram drive. It wasn't just a ram drive.
it was a ram drive cache for IE that really made surfing the Internet on dial-up fly. Actually there were a number of tweaks I implemented to boost my speed like the hack to Increase the Communications port speed, Go beyond 115200bps, Increase modem CPU speed & Modem cache boost. all that together with the Ram Drive made it possible for my 28.8k modem to explore the web and render pages as if I were on ISDN which was quite an accomplishment. Even to this day I have yet to see anybody make a better ramdrive. Browsers like Firefox and Opera claim to have ram drives but once you've experienced a real ram-drive in action that transfers all of your browsers cache to memory, you know the difference. You can see it in the way pages are rendered.

Maybe one day I'll take the time out to make another ram-drive specifically for firefox.

I haven't stopped hacking by the way. I just got into hacking Smart phones. Symbian was my last victim :). MY N97 with a 450mhz processor and 32GB of internal memory expandable to 96GB was just begging for it. As you guys know, My hacks are always aimed at optimizing system performance so it was no surprise when I became somewhat of a legend among the Symbian fanboys. It was Actually I who finally jail broke that phone for good by turning my performance hacks into an installable software package that works on several phones.

Anyways always nice to hear from you guys. I'll be popping in from time to time to see what's going on with you. :banana
