I believe F10 will get you into the bios. That works on the two Compaq's I have.

I have a PC Chips mobo with SIS530 video (like yours, I believe) and a K6-2+ 533. You Tube and Google video streams are very "choppy" on this computer. My Presario 7360 is a little better with the onboard Trident, but I find that a quality PCI (no AGP slot) card makes the streaming video w...

The stock 7360 IDE cables and PSU are pretty weak, I replaced mine with higher quality stuff. Fortunately the PSU is the same micro ATX as found in many HP's and Emachines. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/halfpennies/58_1.jpg A full sized ATX PSU would work too, but not much room inside the c...

The 7360 has a "Camaro" micro ATX motherboard (Mitac 5114VU) with a VIA chipset (MVP4, I believe) that probably won't cache that much RAM. I don't know the exact number, the PC Chips lottery website is down and was a good source of information. I would guess with 512K of onboard L2, the ca...

I have a 7360 that I use on a regular basis running Windows Me. I changed the CPU to a K6III+ 400 ATZ overclocked at 500 MHZ (5x100). I have the 1/28/2000 686S4 Compaq BIOS. I also added a Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440 PCI video card. Here are some quick benchmarks of my system from PCPitstop.com. CPU spee...

Put my K6-III+ 400 ATZ in a Compaq 7360 and works great. Downed the voltage from 2.2 to 2.1 and run it continuously at 500 MHZ (speed of original K6-2). Runs very fast with no problems. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b199/halfpennies/k6III7360.gif Overclocks to 600 MHZ no problem. http://i19.phot...

I bought one off Ebay and replaced the K6-2 380 in my Compaq with no problems so far . Runs at 600MHZ (2.1 volts) with no problems. Motherboard is set for 100MHZ bus and 4.0 multiplier. I use central tweaking unit for higher speeds. I don't use this computer much so I don't know the long term effect...
