Actually, I have to chime in because I've done some research into this. No Windows OS before WinME has native support for the VIA Gart. The earlier OSes only natively support the Intel AGP chipsets. The VIA Gart support in WinME only came as a result of an official agreement between VIA Technologies...

Finally got the BIOS downloaded. I have a 450 K6-III+ in the MVP3G-5 overclocked to 616 MHz and a 450 K6-III in a MVP3G-M overclocked to 500 Mhz. I tried the new BIOS in both boards and they appear stable. <br><br>The BIOS reads the K6-3+ as "K6-3+" and the K6-3 as "K6-3" so it's...

Squeazy2k01, your link to the BIOS does not seem to work anymore. I have both a K6-III and K6-III+. I can test it out for you as long as George has found it safe to flash the motherboard. <p></p><i></i>

K6-X For the Family

My main system is a 450 MHz K6-3+ running at 600 MHz on a Epox MVP3G-5 mobo with 512Mb of Ram. I usually up the clock to 618 Mhz (6 x 103 FSB) with CPUFSB when I'm playing games to get the most performance.
