well I finaly completed my retro machine with the help of jim who supplied the motherboard and ram.
It runs freeBSD 4.11 and is functioning in my house as a beastly fast router/gateway/dhcp server/fileserver/webserver/ftp server
It does all that with a cryrix MII PR-200. and on a busy day it only uses 20% cpu !

Hmmm... this freeBSD sounds interesting, I've concentrated on hardware and merely tolerated MS products perhaps I should have a dabble in OS now, is it difficult to work with?
- Linux/Unix based?
- Oh and just what is the source of that cool blue light in your server case there?
