K6-IIIE+

Post by Ye Olde Forum »

[dmcaylor]

Posted 5-30-2001 20:59

I'm trying to find a K6-IIIE+. Which core is better, ACR(400-550), ATZ(400), APZ(450), or ANZ(500)? The ACR series are only rated to 70C, while the other 3 are rated for 85C? The latter thre are also listed as "low-power". Lastly, which ones are available on the market at a decent price?

Thanks.

Dave

Posted 6-3-2001 01:23

I'm not sure, but ATZ seems like the latest in the series, so *might* clock best. Lower power rating is always your best shot, as it would run cooler, and at typical motherboard voltages would probably clock up to 600 and beyond without any trouble. This is lots of speculation, but probably correct based on what I've seen over time.
